Residents of Freehold, NJ weren't quite sure what hit their town this past Saturday, quite literally. Now, forecasters have confirmed that the storm that caused widespread damage in the town on Saturday night was not a tornado, as many had originally believed, but rather, a "super cell", which is essentially a rotating thunderstorm.
The storm blew through the town this weekend and knocked down utility poles, and trees, and also left 1600 homes and businesses without power. The county is hoping to have power restored by Tuesday morning.
